Arsi University President Conducts Comprehensive Campus Visit, Identifying Priorities for Improvement
The President of Arsi University, Dr. Fikadu Mitiku Abdissa, undertook a significant field visit to the university’s main campus, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences as well as College of Social Science and Humanities at the Bokoji campus. The visit served as a comprehensive assessment of the university’s resources and infrastructure aiming to identify areas for improvement and guide future strategic planning.
During the tour, Dr. Fikadu assessed various academic facilities, including offices, student dormitories, classrooms, cafeterias, libraries, and laboratories. This comprehensive evaluation aimed to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the existing resources, ensuring that students and faculty have the necessary tools for success.
In addition to the academic facilities, the President reviewed the status of several construction projects currently being underway. He also visited research sites and observed the dairy and wheat seed multiplication initiatives, which are integral to the university’s commitment to agricultural advancement and community service.
Up on the visit, the President emphasized the need to prioritize activities based on their significance, stating that these efforts would ultimately enhance the teaching and learning processes the University
